A HISTORIC TRANSFORMATION

CHALLENGE

With a vibrant history as one of Bethlehem’s historic landmarks, The Sun Inn is an important fixture. When Randi Mautz joined the Board of Directors in 2012, The Sun Inn was nearly bankrupt. Part of Imagevolution’s mission is to help non-profit organizations in our community and The Sun Inn has always been special to us. Our challenge was to develop new programs, build the membership, and find creative ways to raise money to support this important historic building in the heart of Bethlehem. 

SOLUTION

We developed a new brand for the Sun Inn Preservation Society. Using our new vision as a jumping-off point, we created collateral to inspire a new era of membership through the Inn Crowd. Throughout the years, we continued to develop innovative solutions while staying true to The Sun Inn’s mission and history. Ultimately, we wanted to preserve the integrity of this historic gathering place while also creating space for a new, exciting chapter. A group of local historians took an interest in our incentives and created Christmas City Spirits and The Tavern at the Sun Inn.

THE SUCCESS

The Sun Inn is now a thriving business within a unique historic structure. Christmas City Spirits recently released its first line of spirits, which were met with record sales in the first week. The Tavern at the Sun Inn is a bustling restaurant serving lunch and dinner, complete with a tavern-inspired barroom and a Rathskeller on the lower level. As a result of these successes, The Museum will launch a new, updated design soon. 

Imagevolution has guided these momentous changes through branding, websites for each site within the Inn, event planning, menu design, SEO and SEM, museum planning, and design. This is an exciting new era for one of Bethlehem’s most historic buildings.
